We are the Philippine Seaboard Institute for Living Knowledge and Community Resilience (PHILSEABOARD INC.).

Conceptualized in 2019 and officially registered with the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission in 2020, PHILSEABOARD builds Living Community Knowledgebases where indigenous wisdom, cultural heritage, citizen science, and sustainable livelihoods converge.

What is a Living Community Knowledgebase?

It is an integrated, community-governed platform that:

Documents and preserves indigenous knowledge, local ecological knowledge, oral traditions, and intangible cultural heritage
Supports sustainable livelihoods rooted in local knowledge, traditional skills, and appropriate technologies
Empowers citizen science and community-led environmental monitoring for climate resilience and informed decision-making
Bridges marginalized sectors to scientific, cultural, and economic opportunities through network-building, training, and access to funding and markets

Open but Protected - Balancing access for community benefit with protections against exploitation
